Lawrence Joseph McFadden Sr.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth A. (Barrasso) McFadden, and his second wife, Fern Cronrath McFadden. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late James and Anna (Ponticarlo) McFadden.

He was the owner of McFadden Trucking, Kenhorst, for several years and then worked at Interstate Container. He was lastly employed as a security guard at Albright College prior to retiring.

He was a 1948 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He served as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his son, Lawrence J. McFadden Jr., and his fiancee, Kathy A. Balthaser of Cedar Top; and by his daughter, Stephanie McFadden and her partner, Sharon C. Bedell, of Shillington. Also surviving is his sister, Helen Nicholson of Worton, Maryland, and his grandson, Jason Eric McFadden, husband of Dr. Patricia McFadden, of Daytona Beach, Florida.

He was predeceased by a brother, James and a sister, Rita.

Services and burial will be private at the family's convenience.
