Born in Douglassville on October 28, 1947, he was a son of the late Ambrose Grover and Anna Melinda (Bailey) Ludy. He was first employed at Wolf's Ice House in maintenance and delivery for two years and then refrigerator maintenance with Mrs. Smith's Pies for 14 years. He worked at Luden's and Pathmark for five years each as maintenance. Then he was employed with Pennco as a welder and fabricator for 15 years and lastly with Schneider Electric for thirteen years as maintenance and security.
Kenneth was a former member of the Sheet Metal Workers Int. Union and Bakery, Confectionary, Tobacco and Grain Milles Union. He enjoyed playing the lottery and scratch off. He loved dogs but he especially loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth L. Ludy, Jr. and his girlfriend, Lisa Williams of Douglassville and Todd A. Schott and his girlfriend, Rachel Oister of Boyertown; three daughters, BethAnn (Ludy) Bill and her husband, Scott of Fleetwood, Brenda L. (Ludy) Burgoon and her husband, Stephen of Boyertown and Karen L. (Ludy) Turner and her husband, George of Mohnton, with whom Kenneth lived with; a sister, Sarah (Ludy) Poremba of Pottstown; 19 grandchildren; six great grandchildren with one on the way and several cousin, nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is Kenneth's ex-wife and long time friend, Coleen Carr of Birdsboro.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth is predeceased by two brothers, Leonard and Grover Ludy and two sisters, Betty (Ludy) Henry and Shirley (Ludy) Lightcap.
A Memorial Service for Kenneth will be Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 12pm in Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, 390 W. Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. Family and friends will gather in the funeral home before service on Saturday from 11 to 12pm.
