Grace Lottie Adams, 95, a lifelong resident of Reading, passed away Nov. 15, 2011, at ManorCare, Sinking Spring.
She was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Reading, the daughter of the late Carl A. and Laura Delphine (Clauser) Flammer.
She worked for many years as a sewing machine operator for Vanity Fair and Astor Industries.
She was a member of the cafeteria staff at Albright College.
Grace attended Reading High until the tenth grade. She achieved her lifelong goal of graduation by completing her GED course in April 1982 at the age of 66.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Adams, on April 7, 1980.
She is survived by her daughters: Janie G. Adams of Reading; Gayle S. Saylor of Bogart, GA; and Judith A. Gombar of Reading; five grandchildren: Michele Hummel of Reading, Amy Saylor of Athens, GA, Laura Kouns of Roswell, GA, Steven Gombar of Reading, and David Gombar of Rochester, NH; 10 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Grace also is survived by her sister, Catherine Cafoncelli, who is 99 years old.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Carl Flam-mer Jr., Robert Flammer, John Flammer and Ralph Flammer; and sister, Elsie Zerby.
Funeral services will be held at the Auman Funeral Home, Reiffton, on Friday at 10 a.m.
Friends and family will
be received at the funeral home on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m.
Interment will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Park.
