Anthony Patounas, 72, of Fleetwood, PA passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. Born August 19, 1949 in Chios, Greece, he was a son to the late Achilleas Patounas and Ellie (Galanos) Patounas. Anthony married the love of his life Irene on January 28, 1973. They were devoted to each other and were partners in all things for 49 years.
Although, he possessed deep pride, loyalty, and love for Greece; Anthony came to America in search of the American Dream. Through sacrifice and hard work, he was able to achieve his dream. He was a lifelong industrial painter and the proud owner and operator of Able Painting Company.
Anthony was a hard-working, generous and devoted husband and father who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had an altruistic spirit, cared greatly for others and every single thing he did was with great intention. He will be remembered as a selfless and considerate man who always helped those around him any time he had the opportunity.
He is loved deeply and will be sorely missed by all blessed enough to have known him. His spirit will live on forever and may his memory be eternal.
Anthony leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Irene (Nyktas) Patounas and his son Achilleas Anthony Patounas to cherish his memory.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was greeted in heaven by his brother Konstantinos “Gus” Patounas.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Auman's Inc. Funeral Home, Reiffton. Funeral service at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and burial at Forest Hills Memorial Park will be private and at the discretion of Anthony's family.
