Andre Luc Roland Louis Jacques was a wonderful man with a kind heart. Andre is also known by family and friends as: (Jean Claude, Ton ton Jean Claude, Poppy, Daddy, and Grandpa) was loved, respected and appreciated by everyone he knew. Andre was a role model, a devout Christian, and a prestigious and honorable man. He loved the union of family and friends. He guided and helped so many family members and friends. He was a wonderful advisor and was able to aid the repair in many relationships. Andre was always the voice of reason in any conflict. He was a peacemaker.
Andre was born on June 25th, 1940, in Leogane, Haiti. The seventh child of Flavie Francois (Mother) and Saintain Louis Jacques (Father). He was raised among a loving family who spent many cherished years together. Andre was a devout Catholic, who believed in prayer and that prayer can solve any conflict or issue.
In his younger years, Andre spent time developing his craft and was dedicated to the success of being a tailor. Andre was a skilled tailor in Haiti. He began his trade as a tailor in his late teens. During his career as a tailor, he was able to prosper and develop a facility that produced garments for tourists and vendors. He started the business as a small service which expanded into a successful business in Haiti. In 1979 he migrated to Spring Valley, NY, where he spent some time before moving to Brooklyn, NY. When he moved to NY, he continued to work with companies and developed garments such as outerwear (Leather coats and jackets).
In 2016, Andre was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and COPD. He suffered for many years with this condition. In 2020, he was hospitalized for heart failure with no COVID even though it was during the pandemic. He spent several weeks in the hospital, followed by several weeks in rehabilitation and therapy. He was able to recover in late 2020. In September of 2024, he was diagnosed with COVID and Pneumonia, which caused additional conditions. On December 18, 2024, he succumbed to the conditions and passed away.
Andre married Gerda Millevoix in Brooklyn, NY in September of 1980. Andre is survived by his wife Gerda Louis Jacques, Son Menes Belmont, Son Henry Belmont, and Daughter Nadine Angoy. He leaves behind grandchildren Alyssa Olivia Angoy, Leah Belmont, Liana Belmont, Jenebel Belmont, Jonathan Belmont, Alicia K Angoy and Emma S Belmont. Andre has sisters, he leaves behind Marie Georgette Millevoix, Marie Alourde Louis Jacques, Marie Benoit and Rosemarie Millevoix. Andre also leaves behind two daughters in-law and a son in-law Maribeth Belmont, Quincy Angoy and Latesha Belmont. Andre leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and Godchildren who love him very much.

A viewing for Andre will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St Catherine of Siena RCC, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA. 19606, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM.
