Susan Lavon Taylor

She was born July 29, 1955, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Delbert and Mary Lee (Higgens) Taylor. Susie worked for several years with Great Lakes Cheese in Middlefield. She was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in Windham.

Family and friends always came first in Susie’s life. She looked forward to all of the family gatherings and loved going camping. Sue also enjoyed gardening. Her willingness to help others led to volunteering with hospice in her later years.

Susie is survived by her daughters: Jodi (John) Barnett and Maria (Bilel) Ayadi; grandchildren: Serena Taylor, Ryan Fairfield, Josh Taylor, Dalton Young, and Mouhamed Ayadi; and her great-grandson Shawn William Taylor. Her memory will also be cherished by sisters Sharon (Bill) Wilson and Stephanie Taylor along with generations of loving nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Sheila Maguire and Sandra Kay Taylor.

Friends will be received Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Windham Township Cemetery.
