Sue was born in Salem, Ohio on January 7, 1956 to parents Richard and Margie (Ewing) Horning. She recently retired from Diagnostic Solutions as an accounts receivable clerk. Sue had an abundant, joyous personality who had a gift for bringing people together. Her kayaking group was important to her and she so enjoyed the many times spent on the local rivers, lakes and trips to Cook Forest State Park in Pennsylvania. Sue also enjoyed photography, crafting and quilting. She loved to bake Christmas cookies, and lots of them! Her wedding soup was everyone’s favorite. Most of all, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose memory will be cherished by all the lives she touched.
Sue is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Samuel Boles; daughters, Carrie Hughes of Munroe Falls and Sara Hughes of North Canton; her grandchildren, Adelynn Sue, Ethan Ridley, Trenton Spencer, and DaZahra; her siblings, Ron (Donna Gayle) Horning of Boardman, Jeff (Janet) Horning of Fort Mill, SC and Sherri (Daryl) Burton of LaGrange, GA; sister-in-law, Margaret Zaleski of Salem; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sue is also survived by her extended family; mother-in-law, Alma Boles of Charlestown Township and brothers-in-law, John Boles of Palmyra Township and Edward (Debbie) Boles of Charlestown Township.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Horning.
Her family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of Sue’s loved ones for their exceptional care and compassion throughout her life.
Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm when the Memorial Service, officiated by Pastor Rick McKee will be held at 7:00pm.
