Ralph was born on November 18, 1927 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to parents Ralph O. and Cora Bell (Barker) Rhinehart. Mr. Rhinehart enjoyed a long career as a carpenter and cabinetmaker, retiring from Akron Children’s Hospital after 34 years of service.
He and his wife were long-time members of Immaculate Conception Church. Ralph was an avid fisherman, spending many hours catching fish out of his own pond and enjoyed hunting with his prized beagles and golden retriever. He liked working in his yard and taking care of his pond. In his spare time, Ralph enjoyed working on puzzles. Most of all, he loved his large family and was a devoted husband and father.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 75 years, Margaret (Evers) Rhinehart and his children: Joseph (Betty) Rhinehart, Mary Lou Staab, Ronald (Janet) Rhinehart and Mark Rhinehart. Surviving also are his beloved 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sister Arlene Smith, his brother Richard Rhinehart and his daughter-in-law Teri Rhinehart.
His children Jim Rhinehart, Dave Rhinehart, Larry Rhinehart, his siblings Edna Hayes, Helen Kunar, Elizabeth Hayes, Fred Rhinehart, Barbara Hayes, Ervin Rhinehart and his in-laws Mary Dean, Patty Nowak and Lawrence Evers preceded Ralph in death.
Friends will be received at the Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St, Ravenna, on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 10am until the Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Rev. William Kraynak, beginning at 11am. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
