Nancy A Ward

Nancy A. Ward, age 66 of Rootstown, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 9, 1956, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents James and Evelyn (Mathis) Leech. 

Nancy graduated from Rootstown High School in 1975. Nancy had a passion for horses. She loved all animals, cross stitching, and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her father James Leech, her daughter Haley Ward, her brother Randy Leech, and her niece Heather Skinner. 

She is survived by her beloved husband Brian Ward, who she married August 11, 1984. Nancy is also survived by her daughter Misty (James) Siedel, her mother Evelyn Leech, her brothers Mike Leech and Robert Leech, her sister Connie (Butch) Burkett, her mother-in-law Betty Ward, her brothers-in-law Jim (Donna) Ward and Gary (Kim) Ward, multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, including Candy Stegh and John Hostetler.

Her wishes for cremation are being honored and final resting place will be Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
