Mary Lea "Pete" Lewis

Born in Pennsylvania to parents Sanford and Roberta (Weaver) Frampton and raised along with her five siblings. Pete spent most of her life in Rootstown, Ohio, where she dedicated herself entirely to her family. Driven by an unshakable love and care for those closest to her, she built a life centered around the people she cherished most.

Pete was the beloved wife and partner of John P. (Jack) Lewis, the love of her life, with whom she shared 69 years of marriage since their union in 1955. Together, they raised four sons: John, Ron (Diane), Chuck (Cyndy), and William “Spank” (Brenda) Lewis.

Pete was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Spank (1985) and Ron (2021), her brother Harry Frampton, sister Kathy Kohan and brother Jack Frampton and the family takes comfort in knowing she is now joyfully reunited with them.

Her loving husband Jack, sons John and Chuck (Cyndy) and her brother Mike (Patty) and sister Carol Boyer survive Mary.

Pete’s greatest joy came from being a grandmother to seven grandchildren—Ronnie, Amanda, Craig, Candace, Ashley, Caroline, and Eric—and a cherished great-grandmother to many great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

In addition to her family devotion, Pete was an active member of Brimfield Methodist Church, The Eastern Star, and many car clubs, where she shared her passions and built cherished friendships.

Known for her quiet strength and unwavering devotion, Pete touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of being loved by her.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 4pm until 7pm, where funeral services, officiated by Pastors’ Don and Karen Upson, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 11th. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.
