She was born October 31, 1947, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to parents Vernon and Laverne (Willard) Thompson. Linda graduated from Field High School in 1965. She worked for many years at the Carousel Dinner Theater in Ravenna.
Family always came first in Linda’s life. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and sitting by a campfire. Linda liked to travel and went on countless vacations with her family.
Perhaps it was her Halloween birthday, but Linda loved to watch scary movies. She also watched her daily reality shows and wouldn’t answer the phone until they were over. Linda loved going to casinos and playing cards, especially euchre. In her younger years, Linda loved getting dressed up to go dancing, often at the Red Garter while camping at Ponderosa Park.
Linda is survived by her children: Tammy (Shawn) King, April (Marc) Lewis, and Brian Kaehne. Her memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Tyler, Trey, Deion, Rylee, Harrison, Ian, Blayne, Nolan, and Maggie. She is also survived by her siblings: Jeanette Reynolds of East Liverpool, Bill Thompson of Akron, and Mary (Larry) Robbins of Edinburg, along with many nieces, nephews, and all of her fur babies.
Linda was preceded in death by her first husband Carl “Skip” Kaehne and her second husband John Kaehne, as well as her brothers: Vernon “Sonny”, Ted, Jim, and Bob Thompson.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with a funeral service officiated by Pastor Jeff Haynes at 4:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.
