Larry Ivan Tennant

Larry was born in Columbus, Ohio on April 27, 1943 to parents L. Ivan and Evelyn M. (LeMasters) Tennant. He worked in many roles over the years, retiring from Shaw Flooring Company where he worked in the shipping and receiving department. After retiring, he enjoyed another eleven years of service delivering for the Portage County District Library.

Larry and his wife Elaine were longtime members of Immaculate Conception Parish. He loved Cleveland sports – especially baseball – and enjoyed reading mystery novels. But, most important in his life was spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Elaine (Nienaltowski) Tennant and his three children: Mark (Patti) Tennant, Julie (David) Duda and Stacie (Brian) Madill. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren: Tori & Alex Tennant, Wilson & Piper Duda and Molly & Benjamin Madill. He will be sadly missed by his niece Lee McDonald and his nephews Dean Tennant and Dan (Beth) Tennant, as well as sisters-in-law Marilyn (John) Mikulic and Dianna Albertson.

Preceding Larry in death were his parents and his brother Jerry Tennant.

Friends will be received on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, from 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. William Kraynak, will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 30th at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ravenna.

Memorial donations in Larry’s name can be made to Immaculate Conception Parish or the Portage County Animal Protective League.
