She was born February 7, 1940, in Elmore, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Schroeder. Kathryn was a devoted homemaker and also helped as an aide for the elderly and children with developmental disabilities.
Kathryn enjoyed her flower gardens, feeding the birds, and her cats were her pride and joy. She was an Elvis fan since her teenage years and watched her soap operas daily. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Kathryn is survived by her children: Brian Harder of Shalersville, Sue (Jeff) Kazmir of Garrettsville, and Anita (Tim) Belknap of Garrettsville. GG’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Stanley, Kendra, Amanda, Kayla, Johnny, Sierra, Kaitlin, and her great-grandchildren Levaeh and Cora.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband Morton William Harder, her daughter Debra Savitts, and her son-in-law Stan Savitts.
Friends and family will be received from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with a funeral service following at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday at Elliston Cemetery in Graytown, Ohio.
