She was born in Akron, Ohio to parents Robert and Mary Fern Brotherton on August 7, 1937. Joyce was a homemaker and full time “mom”. She was very family oriented and enjoyed all of her grandchildren. Church was an important part of her life and for many years a member of the New Milford Baptist Church and more recently Grace Baptist Church in Kent.
Surviving Joyce is her husband of 57 years, Darrel. She also leaves her children: Kim Luckie, Karen Mangrum, John (Lori) Mangrum and Vicki (Tod) Reinhart. Left also to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and her loving nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Judy Geib.
Family will receive friends at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Funeral service officiated by Pastor John Mangrum will begin at 12:00 noon.
