John "Jack" B. Sill Jr.

He was born January 14, 1945, in Clinton, Iowa, to parents John B. and Camilla (Sutton) Sill. Jack graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He moved to Ohio to work for GM/Delphi. He retired after 33 years working as a Superintendent and Project Manager of Manufacturing and Development.

Jack loved the outdoors. He enjoyed many camping trips and traveling the country in his RV with his family. Jack also loved being on the water, whether it was fishing, hiking, boating, or kayaking. One of his favorite hobbies was enjoying his train collection. Jack was a member of the Valley of Youngstown Scottish Rite F&AM and the Howland Community Church.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia Sill, his daughter and son-in-law Lori and Ashley Roberts, grandson Rider Roberts of Dripping Springs, Texas. He is also survived by his brother Jim R. (Helen McGraw) Sill of Clinton, Iowa, as well as his brothers-in-law: Robert (Jean) Holinbaugh, John (Susan) Holinbaugh, Wayne (Charline) Holinbaugh, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his son Andrew John Sill in 2014.

His wishes for cremation are being honored and no services are scheduled at this time. Final resting place will be Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
