Jerry was born in Ravenna, Ohio on February 26, 1941 to parents Ernest M. and Alta G. (Willoughby) Dent. He had been retired from St. Gobain in Ravenna after 30 years of service painting and assembling nose cones for the aeronautics industry.
In his spare time he was a carpet layer, remodeled, and flipped houses. Jerry loved all animals and enjoyed flowers. Playing cards, fishing, camping and long rides in the car were favorite pastimes. Most important to him was family, spending time with his grandchildren and that he was the love of his wife Marilyn’s life.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn and his children: Sandra (Bill) Lambert and Joey (Stacey) Dent. He also leaves his beloved grandchildren: Matthew Lambert, Ashlee (Matt) Waite, Alexandra Dent and Jacob Dent. Loving nieces and nephews also survive him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jimmie Dent and his sister Jacqueline Wilkinson.
