Jeanette V. Moore

Jeanette was born September 28, 1931in Van Wert, Ohio. The daughter of Jacob and Regina Schaeper. Married James C. Moore on February 28, 1953. Jeanette was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna and served on numerous committees. Jeanette was employed at Brown Junior High School and Kent State University. She was also employed at The H & M Rubber Company, which was owned by her husband James. She loved growing flowers, helping in the vegetable garden and loving her home. Jeanette was quite domestic with strong values; loving her family. She loved reading sewing, knitting and especially playing bridge. The family camped, hiking many trails, and seeing the National Parks. They loved to travel, touring the western states, Mexico, Costa Rica, Alaska. The Holy Lands, Egypt, Greece and the Oberammergau Passion Play were inspirational. She appreciated a long, happy life.

Jeanette is survived by her husband James Moore and her son Thomas J. (Debbie) Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her four sisters: Evelyn Grimmer, Joan Allemeier, Dorothy Vogel and Patricia Hogue.

Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 11:00am until 12:00pm. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Norma Bates, will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. It is required that everyone attending visitation and service wear a mask and practice social distancing. The family certainly understands if you do not feel comfortable with attending due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
