Frank E. Mills

He was born February 3, 1913, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Frank A. and Alice (Mawer) Mills. Frank was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ravenna for over 50 years. Frank loved camping and traveling. He and his wife traveled through every state in the country, across Canada, and throughout Europe, making several visits to family members in England.

On July 30, 1939, he married his beloved wife Virginia May Mills. They made Ravenna their home and raised their two daughters Sandy and Patti. Mr. Mills was a machinist and retired from Lamson & Sessions.

He is survived by wife Virginia, his children: Sandy (Al) Verschoot of Montana and Patti (John) Valentine of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren: Laurie (Eric) Sutphin, Michael (Monica) Lewis, Melissa (Bill) Hilbrunner, Malinda (Mike) Gibson, Marc (April) Lewis; step-grandchildren: Jon Valentine and Heather Bates; and his dear cousins Branton and Kathi Horton. Frank also leaves behind his 15 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory: Jacinta, Calysta, Marlaina, Mitchell, Mason, Allyson, Carlie, William, Malorie, Meagan, Marcus, Tyler, Deion, Cory, and Parker.

Friends will be received Thursday, April 21, 2011, from 6-8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be officiated by Reverend Vernon White and Pastor Scott Purdum on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
