He was born December 1, 1947, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Philip Joseph and Elizabeth Ann (Polichena) DeAngelis. Frank graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School in 1967. He later attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Shortly after, Frank joined the family business, DeAngelis Heating and Air Conditioning, which he owned since 1982.
Frank was proud of his Italian heritage and Catholic upbringing, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. He will fondly be remembered for his eccentric personality, cheesy jokes, and quick one-liners. Most of all, Frank was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Papa to his five grandchildren.
On May 22, 1971, Frank married his beloved Mary Lou (Gandee) DeAngelis, and together they raised their two children: Lori (Mike) Wadlington and Christopher (Amanda) DeAngelis. Papa’s memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Logan, Ella, Luke, Lila, and Eva. He is also survived by his sister Phyllis (Nick) Battaglia along with many other loving extended family members. Frank was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received Monday, December 13, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend William Kraynak on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 W. Main St., Ravenna. Entombment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Condolences and fond memories may be shared with the family at www.wood-kortright-borkoski.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Frank’s name to a favorite charity.
