F. Sue Vance

She was born January 10, 1936, in Clothier, West Virginia, to parents Ernest “Ox” and Edith (Shirkey) Flannery. Sue graduated from Sharples High School and later retired from Container Corp in Solon after 29 years of employment.

Sue was a longtime and active member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, planting flowers, and looking for deals at Goodwill.

Sue is survived by her sons: Steve Browning and Bill (Vicki) Vance, her grandchildren: Babette Bowser (Mike), Shawn Browning (Nicole), Kristy Keller (Lou), Jamie Roesky (Jimmy), Joshua Browning (Sandra), Meghan (Brian) Drass, Lexi Vance, and Ian Vance, as well as her 5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and former daughter-in-law Diane.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her son Howard E. Browning, her siblings: Jo Charcandy, Johnny Bill Flannery, and Merry Janet “Jan” Wallen-Smith.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM with funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert following at the Bethel Baptist Church, 745 North Freedom St, Ravenna. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Boone Memorial Park in Danville, West Virginia.
