Ed worked at White Rubber in Ravenna and retired from Saint-Gobain where he was a tow motor driver for many years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, coaching youth baseball and football, camping with his family, hunting and fishing. Ed was a member of the Ravenna Moose 1234 for 48 years, American Legion 331 for 30 years and Kent Elks 1377 for 13 years.
Survivors include his wife Judy Hanna, brothers Robert M Hanna (Alice) and Ricky Hanna (Tina), son Edwin Hanna Jr.(Sherry), daughter Marlena Morrow (Brian), step-daughters: Tammy Ricker (Wayne), Brandi Hanna (Bill), and Melissa Huffman (Jeff), grandchildren: Edwin Hanna III, Brianna Morrow (Tyler), Haley Hanna (Joshua), Allison Johnson (Tim), Kilee Hinkle (Austin), Shayla Hanna, Brooke Hanna, Robert Frasher, Robert Ricker (Taisa), Kyle Douglas (Briana), Harley Bradley (Matt), Hope Ashley, Chloe Phillips, Brandi Slaughter, Paige Slaughter, Darrel Slaughter, Summer, Harley, Seraphia Phillips, and Katie Huffman, seven great grandchildren, three on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Larry Hanna and Jim Hanna, sister-in-law Rebecca Hanna, step-son Michael Frasher and step-daughter Glenna Slaughter.
Calling hours will be at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski in Ravenna on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, where Moose Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM with a funeral service following with Ron Murphy officiating. Interment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
