She was born October 16, 1953, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of Gerald and Anita (McAllister) Gump. Debbie worked as a supervisor at H&M Rubber in Brimfield. She was a devoted mother and longtime Girl Scout Leader, even serving as cookie chairperson for the area. Debbie enjoyed poetry, music and dancing. She loved playing euchre, bingo, reading, and game days with family. Most of all, she will be remembered for her sense of humor.
Survivors include: her parents Gerald and Anita Gump of Stow; daughter: Regina Gump of Ravenna; son: Erik (Cynthia) Green of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren: Domonic, Elijah, Elena, Jada, Quentin, and Caleb Holden; siblings: Cathy (Alvin) Gorham, Denise Eagle, Kenneth (Carolyn) Gump, Maureen (Robert) Watson, Edward (Jennifer) Gump, William Gump, Nadine Gump, Judith Wilke, and Sharon (Todd) Blair; as well as her loving companion Rodney E. Cunningham. Debbie’s many outstanding qualities have also touched the lives of her many friends, coworkers, nieces, and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and friends will be received Friday, January 20, 2012, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 PM. Final resting place will be Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
