He was born October 16, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents Harold and Margaret A. (Nielan) Richards. Growing up in Cleveland, Charlie became a lifelong Indians/Guardians fan, as well as an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was a leader in industrial sales in the pressure valve and gauge industry. Later in life, Charlie enjoyed working outside in nature and making lamps as a hobby.
Charlie was a Christian and a devoted family man. God, country, and family remained paramount throughout his life. He cherished his time spent with his family and will be sorely missed.
Charlie is survived by his beloved wife Lee Ann (Scebbi) Richards, who he married April 11, 1987. Also surviving are his children: Raymond Scebbi, Gregory Richards, and Benjamin Richards, his grandchildren: Destiny and Isabella Scebbi, his sisters: MaryBeth (Bob) Gombus, Susan Clayton, and Theresa Richards, along with generations of loving nieces and nephews.
His wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 PM with a memorial service officiated by his nephew, Pastor Terry Rausch at 2:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, OH 44266. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow.
