He was born October 23, 1934, in Kingston, West Virginia, to parents Asa and Myrley (Dunlap) Brown. Carl worked for many years with General Motors in Lordstown, where he was a member of UAW Local 1714. He was also a member of the F&A Masons and the Shriners. After retirement, Carl moved to Florida for several years before returning to Ohio.
Carl is survived by his sons Donald G. (Carolyn) Brown and Matthew D. Brown, his sister Alice Painter, as well as his 16 grandchildren and all of his great-grandchildren. He is also survived by daughters-in-law Linda Hull and Vicki Brown.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and his sons Mark A. Brown, William D. Brown, and Robert C. Brown.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Private burial will take place in Atwater Cemetery.
