Bonnie was born on July 7, 1954, to Ray McDaniel Sr. and Dena (Panos) McDaniel in Washington Courthouse, Ohio. Her family moved to Ravenna, Ohio in 1966. She started working at Reed Memorial Library in 1973 and this is where she met her husband, Peter Policano. Her and Peter were married on November 24, 1993.
Bonnie worked at Reed Memorial Library for 48 years. She could be seen at the circulation desk, greeting patrons, or joking around with her co-workers. Later in her career, she worked in tech services for the library. She made lifelong friendships with many of her co-workers and enjoyed working with them.
Bonnie enjoyed all things cows and gnomes. She liked to take trips to Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio with Peter and their niece, Katy during the summer. She loved covered bridges and liked to visit the Harpersfield Covered Bridge in Ashtabula, Ohio. In the spring and summer, she liked to plant flowers in her garden and to create planters for her front yard.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Matthew D. Arnett. She is survived by her husband, Peter Policano; brother Ray (Linda) McDaniel; sisters-in- law Victoria Sanders and Becky Ullman; Her nieces, Katy (Coleman Mahler) Scott, Alyssa (Jack) Miller, and Nicole Booher; Her nephews, Kyle D. McDaniel, Rob (Brooke) Ullman, and Andy (Indira) Ullman; 9 great nieces and 5 great nephews, and several cousins in southern Ohio.
A visitation for Bonnie will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home in Ravenna, Ohio followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
