She was born May 11, 1955, in Findlay, Ohio, to parents Guy Earl and Elizabeth Ann (Doyle) Baker. Barbara had many challenges in her life but she always loved life, dancing, and everyone she met. Barbara enjoyed going to Cedar Point and to the salon to get her hair and nails done.
Barbara was much loved by her family, the staff and clients at the Adult Activities Center run by SAW Inc., her fellow residents at home but most of all the staff at Beachwood House. The family recognizes the kindness, love and caring shown to her over the years by members of her JFSA staff. Especially the care given to her once she became terminally ill. We salute them and know God has a special place in heaven for each and every one of them. She could not have been more loved while on this earth.
Barbara is survived by her mother Elizabeth Baker, her siblings: Cathy (Lyle) Hennicke, Sue Peplowski, Guy (Mechelle) Baker, and John (Natalie) Baker, along with generations of loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Guy Baker.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 15, 2020, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Private inurnment will take place at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua.
