Tram Thi Tran

TRAM was born to Mr. Tran Van Gio and Mrs. Le Thi No on June 4th, 1932, in Loi Hoa, Vietnam.

She married to Steward Tuoi Van Vo, and together they raised nine children. Their eldest son, Stephen Vang Ngoc left Vietnam in 1975 and in 1987 was able to effect family reunification of Tram, her husband, and their youngest daughter Victoria Huong. Months later the rest of her children were able to join their parents in Raleigh.

Life in their new country was one of hard work, success, and pride in watching their children and grandchildren succeed. Some of her favorite pastimes were working with her husband in landscaping their Raleigh home; and enjoying travel to Canada and California. Loving and taking care of her grandchildren. Cooking with her children for her growing family and for Vietnamese food festivals brought joy to her life. Teaching her children how to correctly prepare Vietnam recipes was a loving passion of their mother’s life, one they will continue to celebrate at every family gathering for generations to come.

Tram was predeceased by her parents Mr. Tran Van Gio and Mrs. Le Thi No, her husband Stewart Tuoi Van Vo, her siblings (Tram Thi Tham, Tran Van Loi, Tran Thi Chu, Tran Thi Mai and Tran Van Ut), and her eldest son Stephen Vang Ngoc Vo. She is survived by eight of her children and many grandchildren.
