Tim was brilliant, creative, talented, had a biting sense of humor, and did not suffer fools. He was also willing to lend a helping hand to someone truly in need. He lived his life to the fullest with no regrets. He traveled all over the world, met many fascinating people, and could tell wildly hilarious stories about his travels and encounters.
He played guitar with UV Prom in the 80s. He loved that time of his life. He was an avid guitar collector and cherished his guitars. He majored in architecture and design at North Carolina State University, but after a few years in that field, he decided it wasn’t for him. He became a mechanical engineer specializing in computers. He was well read and artistic.
He was newly retired and had many things he wanted to accomplish now that he had plenty of time. Mr. Melvin, his cat, and constant companion was always by his side. We are saddened and heartbroken that he didn’t get to do all the things he had hoped for in his retirement, but we are thankful for the 66 years he had. To say he will be missed is an understatement. He was not an overly emotional person, but he dearly loved his family and friends.
Tim, we are glad you are no longer in pain, and I hope that wherever you are that you are playing your guitar, smoking your Marlboros, painting, and enjoying a fully stocked bar with a great cast of characters. Love you always. Your family and friends left to cherish your memory...
