Theresa Casagrande Thacher

Theresa is survived by her children, Anthony R Thacher and Gregori C Thacher; grandchildren Pierce F Thacher and Carlie J Thacher; and siblings Janet C Harkness of Baton Rouge, LA and Robert M Casagrande of Villa Park, CA. She is preceded in death by her husband Peter D Thacher and parents Robert M Casagrande and Kathleen L Casagrande.

Theresa was born on the 19th of December 1945 in Houston, TX. She graduated from Holy Name of Jesus Mercy Academy in New Orleans and went on to attend Louisiana State University at New Orleans where she graduated with a degree in drama.

Theresa married Peter D. Thacher in 1968, after meeting through a common friend, while Pete was stationed at the port of New Orleans as a Transportation Officer in in the US Army. They welcomed sons, Anthony in 1974 and Gregori in 1977. Theresa was an avid gardener, a professional calligrapher, a real estate broker-in-charge, a devout Catholic as well as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A memorial service for Theresa is scheduled for 11:00 am, Friday the 4th of February, 2022 at St. Raphael Catholic Church, in Raleigh. It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Oakwood Cemetery. Flowers accepted but contributions to Army Emergency Relief Fund (www.aerhq.org) much appreciated.
