Theodore Allison McGowan

Theodore Allison McGowan of Raleigh passed away on December 23, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born on July 18, 1937 in Kane, PA. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in St. Mary’s, PA. After graduation, Ted served in the US Army for 4 years during the Korean War.

Ted worked as a sales executive for Stackpole in St. Mary’s before moving to Raleigh. In Raleigh, he was employed by C & K Components as Global Sales Director for 25 years.

He enjoyed Notre Dame football, playing golf, going for long walks, working in the yard and spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club for over 50 years.

Ted is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Mosebarger McGowan of Raleigh. He also had three children, Robin Darcy (Joe) of Coppell, TX, Bart McGowan (Gina) of Cornelius, NC and Bret McGowan of Raleigh, NC. He had three grandchildren, Austin Darcy of Coppell, TX, Emily and Leah McGowan of Cornelius, NC. In addition to his immediate family he is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Sherry (Anthony) of St. Mary’s, PA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Jean McGowan and a brother, Jim McGowan.
