Sarah, age 31, formerly on New Kent, VA, and currently residing in Raleigh, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 6, 2011, in the loving arms of her husband and family. she was the loving wife and soul mate of her husband, Sumit and is survived by her parents Bill and Kathy Lindsey, her sister Lori and brother-in-law David White and her cherished Indian parents Prem and Prabha Gupta and her husband's brother Amit and wife Shweta. She was also survived by her loving grandparents Paul and Lucille Cowins of Lynchburg, VA.
Sarah and Sumit's love story began during their meeting at the College of William and Mary from which they both graduated. Sarah pursued her life's objective as a teacher at New Kent Middle School nd grew as an inspiration to all of 'her children' during her remarkable career. She concluded her teaching career at Franklin Academy in Wake Forest, NC, which served as her most memorable teaching experience. Her beloved husband Sumit worked from Raleigh as a real estate developer and is co-founder of SAGA Construction in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Sarah was a member of St. Peter's Parish Church in New Kent, VA where she not only served as a dedicated and believing child of Christ, but also experienced her miracle of praising God through her beautiful voice. She participated in many Church activities which included teaching Sunday School and Bible School and of course, being in the choir.
Although her life was short, she touched and influenced a multitude of people in so many ways. Throughout the grip of such an aggressive sickness, Sarah continued to thank God for her many blessings. Both Sarah and her family celebrate her victory and ask all others to thank God for the paradise she now experiences with God in heaven.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Peter's Parish Church at 8400 St. Peter's Lane in New Kent, VA, 23124, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sarah's life may be made to St. Peter's Church, Book of Remembrance.
