Sarah C. Brock, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, February 28, 2012 at Stewart Heath Center at Springmoor Retirement Community. Born on December 29, 1918 in Plymouth, NC, she was the daughter of the late Louis Clyde Cahoon and Minnie Harrison Cahoon and wife of the late Justice Walter E. Brock of Raleigh.
Sarah was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Raleigh. She was a loving, kind and patient mother of four. She was predeceased by her daughter Elaine Brock Rogers of Morganton, and is survived by her children Frances Brock Moore and husband Dan of Lexington, Walter E. Brock Jr. and wife Lynne of Raleigh, and Elizabeth Brock Lovette and husband Jim of Winston-Salem, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (300 St. Mary’s Street). Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
