Richard Ab Harvell, 68, born on August 26, 1943 in Raleigh, died after a difficult battle with cancer on Thursday, November 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erma Wilkins Harvell and Roberson Ab Horton Harvell.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Todd Harvell and Randall Scott Harvell; grandson, Gage Harvell; sister, Keda Olive; brothers, Michael Harvell and Smitty Harvell and wife Debra; and by his niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He graduated form Broughton High School in 1961. He was self employed as a contractor for the majority of his career. He enjoyed spending time with friends, his dogs, riding motocycles, country music and fishing.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 2 PM and is open to all that have known and loved Richard.

Richard will surely be missed by all who knew him.
