Perry Joe Futrell

Mr. Futrell was born August 16, 1941 in Sampson County to the late Essie Jordan and Hubert Lawrence Futrell. Upon graduation, he served his country with the US Army. During his service in Germany, he met his wife. After his honorable discharge, Mr. Futrell was an electrician for over 40 years, retiring in 2008. He and Sigrid enjoyed being members of the German Club of Raleigh.

Mr. Futrell is survived by his sons, David and Steven; grandchildren, Christian Leigh Futrell, Andrew Futrell, Skyler Futrell; sisters, Kathy Futrell, Stella Christensen, Essie Marie Williams, Mary Sue Tew, Faye Tart; brothers, Stanley Futrell, Glenn Futrell, Hubert Futrell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Perry was preceded in death by his sister, Eva Ruth Futrell, and his brothers, Tom Futrell, Bobby Futrell, Harold Futrell, and Charlie Futrell.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, from 12:30 - 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh.
