Matthew Vincent Lisi, 21, of Knightdale, North Carolina, died June 6th, 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born January 29th, 2000 in Raleigh, NC, the son of Marc and Kathleen Lisi. He attended and graduated a semester early from East Wake High School in 2018, where he was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club. He was dually enrolled during this time and completed several courses at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, NC.
Matthew was an employee of International House of Pancakes and TJ Maxx during his years of attending high school in Knightdale. After his graduation in 2018, he became an employee of General Dynamic’s Electric Boat (EB) in Groton, Connecticut. There, he was part of a team that designed Submarines for the United States Navy. Shortly before his untimely death, Matthew returned to Knightdale and held the position of Assistant Superintendent at Lisi and Company.
Matthew is survived by his parents Marc and Kathleen of Knightdale, and his sisters Rachel of Raleigh, NC and Jordan of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Richard and Margaret Burdick, of Smethport, PA, and his paternal grandparents, Bernard and Phyllis of Pittsburg, PA. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
There will a visitation at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 from 2pm to 6pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 13th at Brown-Wynne beginning at 1pm with a luncheon to follow.
Not to brag, but Matthew was the best.
