Mary Louise Fisher

Mary Louise Fisher, 96, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 20, 2011 at Stewart Healthcare Center in Springmoor Retirement Community. Born on November 15, 1914 in Wilmington, NC; she was the daughter of the late Sallie Wright and William Oscar Floyd and wife of the late Isaac Conrad Wicker and the late Manly Bascum Fisher.

Mary Louise was a former member of Hay Street United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. She was the beloved and cherished Matriarch of her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and close friends. She will be dearly missed but has left a lifetime of memories that will be engraved in the hearts of many forever.

She will be remembered by her children: Sally Wicker McDonald and William C. Wicker of Raleigh; step-children: Dot McGee of Raleigh, Betty Johnston of Fayetteville, Evelyn Hart of Allentown , PA , and Harold Fisher of Charlotte ; thirteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by Jeanette Gregory and Beatrice Mallard: a step-child: James C. Fisher; and by two grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Shallow Well United Church of Christ in Sanford, NC. Interment will follow at the church cemetery, with a reception back in the fellowship hall.
