Marvin Howard Ross

Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Rhumell Campbell Ross, his daughter, Terri Hepler and husband Tom; sons Mike Ross and wife Cindy of Charlotte; Steve Ross of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Jason, Travis, and Josh Hepler, Hayden Ross, Justin Ross, and Amanda Ross, and sister Inez Dotson of Forest City, NC. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Ross.

Marvin served in the Navy during WWII. He then attended NC State in the School of Engineering. In 1953, he went to work at Westinghouse Meter Plant in Raleigh, where he stayed until his retirement in 1987.

Marvin enjoyed golf, especially at North Ridge CC and traveling on golf trips with Rhumell and friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.

A celebration of Marvin's life will be at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church on Fairview Road with the Rev. Rick Clayton officiating on Wednesday, August 6, at 12:00. Visitation will be in the Fellowship Hall at 11:00 am.
