I had Ms. Tucker as my Spanish 3 teacher in the spring of 2018. She was by far one of the most entertaining teachers I had in high school, and her wit and snark always helped to lighten things up. I'm saddened to hear about her passing, but I know that in the end, she lives on in the hearts of all her former students.

I had Sra Tucker as my Spanish teacher for two years in high school. She treated all of us with the utmost respect, and I wouldn’t ever have developed such a deep love of the language without her constant support.  I ate lunch with her so many times when I needed advice or just a kind presence. She has made such an impact on my life and so many others. I am forever grateful for her jokes, her laughter, and the safe space she provided in her classroom. Rest In Peace. 

Señora Tucker was one of the best teachers I’ve had in my life. She treated unruly teenagers as adults and was never afraid to crack a joke at our expense. She was fair and exceedingly kind — I still remember when she “spilled” a glass of wine over the entire class’s quizzes when we were unprepared. I pray for her family and hope they find peace in the fact she had an impact on countless kids like me.

I had Mrs. Tucker for two years as my spanish teacher. I will always remember her compassion and love for teaching. I made some of my fondest memories from high school in her class. I will always remember during virtual learning during the pandemic when she stoped class because her cats had taken over her video camera. I will miss her. 

Maggie adopted me into her family, so the memories I want to share are simple: Maggie rescuing me from a handsy tour guide in Spain, planting and harvesting an enormous amount of tomatoes on the deck, watching The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (so many times) while Maggie simultaneously read a book, hanging in the kitchen while Maggie cooked, learning that no song was a good song unless Ella Fitzgerald sang it, being told to go to my room and read the HP series and not come down until done, being accepted by Max and ignored by Herman, mourning pets and getting new ones, trips to David's Bridal, the butterfly on the veil, Spanish Honor Society induction, laughing together...a lot, taking Aaron to college, calling for Maggie's advice on big heartbreaks even after I moved away. Maggie chose to like me as a classmate and, then, to love me as a friend, and I will always be grateful that she did. She and her family made the world better for me. 

Sra Tucker was truly the kindest hearted teacher I ever had the chance to get to know. Through my almost two years of seeing her every day, I saw her as my second mother, someone who could set me straight no matter what from a place of love. I’ll miss her sense of humour, her big heart, and most of all, her presence. 

I was sad to hear that Maggie was in the hospital and then of her passing. I did not see her very much, but we "spoke" often by email due to our different office locations. She was always grateful for any assistance that I was able to provide to her. I will miss her subtle responses! Thank you Maggie for making a difference in so many lives! Rest in Peace, my friend.


I worked with Maggie for many years and had great conversations with her.  We didn't alway see each other, but when  we did, we always catch up with the short time we had. She made a decision many years ago to teach and make a difference and she did.  Rest in peace you have earned your wings! You will be missed❤️

I had Sra Tucker as my Spanish teacher at ghhs and she is one of the sweetest teachers. I loved the times I got to talk with her during lunch and I thought of her as my grandma at school. She cared so much about her students and she will be dearly missed❤️
