Margaret Kathleen Upton, affectionately known as "Miss Kitty", passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2012, at Genesis Elder Care, in Mooresville, NC. She was born on May 30th, 1926, in Raleigh NC, daughter of William Henry Fisher and Ruby Pearl Fisher.
She is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Ruby Bumgarner and husband David, of Cornelius NC, and Mary Clarke and husband Dave, of Youngsville NC; her grandchildren Dana and Zachery Clarke; and her nephew Chester Smith and wife Etta. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Eugene Stanley Upton, her son Stanley Eugene Upton, Jr., her sister Hattie Perry and her brothers William Henry Fisher and George Fisher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday January 7th, at Brown Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC 27605. Interment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Gardens.
