Mandy Elizabeth Rogerson Maddry

Mandy was born April 11, 1927 in Williamston, NC to the late Augustus Rogerson and Vida Rodgers Rogerson. She was a graduate of Stokes High School and Hardbarger Business College. Mandy was employed with McLeod Watson Lanier Clothier (owned by Hart Schaffner and Marx) where she retired. She was an accomplished seamstress and was a mother to all who knew her. She attended Temple Baptist Church.

Mandy was preceded in death by her husband, Cary Max Maddry in 1990; sister, Sadie Liset; and brother, JB Rogerson.

She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Roberson of Robersonville; Faye Taylor of Everetts; and Virginia (Ginger) Whitehurst of Williamston; brother, Alton Roddy Whitehurst and his wife, Helen of Summer Duck, VA; sister-in-law, Sarah Rogerson; brother-in-law, George Liset; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2013 at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601, with Rev. Brooks Wadsworth officiating. The family will receive friends 12 - 1:30 pm prior to the service at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 St. Mary's Street, Raleigh, NC 27605.
