Helen was a homemaker and elementary school administrative assistant in Irvington, NY. She was a member of Cary First United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by children: daughter Denise Lewis, sons Bill and Bruce Handley, grandchildren Heather, Matthew, Kelly, Brett, Eric, Ryan, Megan; 15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Robert Handley, brothers Jack and Walter Brightman, and sister Dorothy Mery.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 10th at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church-Cary, NC. Family will receive friends following the church service. Graveside Funeral Rites are private at Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church, 117 S Academy St. Cary, NC 27511.
