At the age of 18 Geraldine was crowned Miss Bordeaux France. She was raised Catholic and baptized in the church of St. Martin Loremont, France. At the age of 20 she met her husband Farrell McDaniel while he was stationed in USAD Captieux France serving in the US Army. They were married August 18, 1962. Together they spent the majority of their lives in Little Rock Arkansas and raised four children together. She was a long term member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Woman’s Club achieving the rank as Master, which is the highest rank in the club. Geraldine’s hobby was truly her family and friends. Her loving spirit, willingness to give, and her outgoing personality bonded her to everyone she met.
Geraldine is survived by her husband Farrell McDaniel of Clayton, her four children: Brenda Smith, Darrell McDaniel, Jeff McDaniel, and Michael McDaniel; 5 grandchildren: Sarah Smith, Jeremy McDaniel, Tiffany McDaniel, Brandon McDaniel, and Valencia McDaniel; her siblings Loretta Lisaud, Claudia Marcelin, Andre Nelson, Marlynn Fernandez, Guy Marcelin, and Late Daniel Marcelin.
A Memorial Mass will be held 2 pm Friday November 28, 2014 St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Clayton North Carolina 27520.
