Frances Martin Martin Pearce

Frances Martin Pearce of Raleigh, NC passed away on April 29, 2011. She is preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 47 years, Jacob A. Pearce, DDS, and daughter, Rita Frances Pearce.

After graduating from Dunn High School, she attended WCG, where she graduated with a Business/Secretarial Degree. She worked at Pump and Tank Company in Richmond, VA while her husband attended the Medical College of Virginia.

The couple moved to Raleigh, NC where Mrs. Pearce was a homemaker and avid golfer. She was a member of Wildwood Country Club, and a founding member of Northridge Country Club. She was a long-time member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church. She also was a supporter for the Alliance for the Mentally Ill.

She is survived by her son, Jacob A. Pearce, Jr., and his wife, Vivian, of Chesterfield, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home St. Mary’s St. on Wednesday, May 4, from 10:00 to 12:00. This will be followed by a graveside memorial service at 3:30pm at Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Raleigh/Wake County.
