Frances was a wonderful wife and mother. She was truly part of the "Greatest Generation."
She was a woman of great principle and pride. She gave unselfishly her time and talents to her children and husband, often sacrificing her own needs. Her love for her children was expressed though her understanding, teaching, and compassion. Frances was a stay at home Mother until her children were in their teens and she then went to work for the N.C. State Dept. of Motor Vehicles. At her retirement in 1982, she held the position of Supervisor of the Vehicle Identification Department.
After retirement, Frances focused her time on her Son and his family, her Church, the Senior's Club, and her gardening. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church for over 50 years and truly loved her Church family. She took numerous trips around the United States with her Senior's Club and made many great friends. Her lawn and garden were greatly admired by her neighbors and she devoted much of her free time to keeping it beautiful.
