Fannie Belle Wilder, 86, passed away on January 12, 2017 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Fannie was born on March 14, 1930 in Nashville, NC; one of eleven children of the late William Vinson Boone and Fannie Lillian House Boone and wife of the late Howard Wilder.
Fannie was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and thoroughly enjoyed her role as wife, mother and grandmother.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children: Ray Wilder and wife LaVerne, of Raleigh, Donald Wilder and wife Debbie, of Apex, Brenda Johnson and husband Johnny, of Lillington, Vickie Ries and husband Tom, of Smithfield, and Rickie Wilder, of Cary; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings: Franklin Lee Boone and wife Mary, of Holly Springs and Peggy Malpass and husband Craven, of Mt. Olive; and numerous other family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, January 15th from 2-3:45 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue), with Graveside Services to be held at 4 pm at Raleigh Memorial Park.
