Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Nelson died peacefully on August 31, 2016 she was surrounded by loving family. She joined her beloved husband, Howard T. Nelson, eldest son, Robert A. Nelson, her parents, siblings and numerous family members and friends.
She is survived by her son, David M. Nelson, daughters; Kristi A. Nelson and Julie N. Papritan and husband, James, grandchildren; Joshua T. Nelson, Austin T. Nelson, Ayden M. Nelson, Ansleigh Hall, Katelyn and Ashley Papritan, great-grandchild, Kaiden Nelson and beloved pet, Cali.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary for Cats.
The family would like to express sincerest appreciation to the team at Transitions Hospice Care Center, who took exceptional care of her and her family in her final days of life.
A casual Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612.
