She was born in Columbus, OH and adopted at an early age by Wellington and Thyra Ansley, and was raised in a loving Christian home.
She graduated from Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Following the deaths of her parents she later relocated to Baltimore, MD where she enjoyed working as a nurse at John Hopkins Hospital and also as an accountant.
Later in life she met and married Kary Lewis and from this union a blessed and blended family was formed.
Eileen will be truly missed and leaves to cherish her memory are surviving relatives, her loving husband of 22 years Kary Lewis, son Marc Paul and wife Colleen (MD), daughter Melody Paul (NC), Julia Johnson (VA), Kriston Lewis and Clifton Bobbit (NC), 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A wake and viewing will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612 from 6pm-8pm.
A celebration of Eileen’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27612 at 2pm.
