Dot Wilder

Dot Wilder, 68, went to be with her Lord April 1, 2010. She was born on July 11, 1941 in Johnston County, NC to Cleo (Mims) and William Jerry Wilder. Dot graduated from Campbell University and retired from the State Treasurer’s Office. After retirement, she co-owned Lamb of God Bookstore. She was a very active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where she served in various ministries. She was an Associate in the Sisters of Divine Providence. Dot loved life in general and found humor in every part of life. She especially enjoyed golf, fishing and the beach.

Dot is survived by her sister, Candice “Candy” Martin; aunt, Gladys; uncle, Doug; adopted brothers; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Sadie, her beloved chocolate lab.

A Mass of Resurrection will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
