Donna loved her quiet time taking care of the yard work, Pembroke Corgis, and cats. She was a member of the Raleigh Chapter, Sweet Adeline's Chorus, Carolina Harmony. Her many years in the Sweet Adeline's was one of the highlights of her life. For at least 5 years, she participated in the Sweet Adeline's Regional competition.
She is survived by her brother, Al Padgett and wife, Peggy, and nieces, Cindy Gates and Sherrie Hipp. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Mendel L. Robinson, Jr. for whom she was not only his wife, but caretaker. They were married for over 54 years and she was truly the "wind beneath his wings".
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
