Clara Baumbach Gardner

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Gardner; grandson, John Peszko; granddaughter, Darlene Peszko; and by her three sisters and one brother.

Clara is survived by her son, Barry Gardner and wife Pam; her daughter, Wendy Hunt; her grandchildren, Carly Gardner, Brett Gardner, Alyssa Hunt, Paul Reigner and Aimee Peszko; and by her great-grandchildren, Austin Reigner, Samuel Reigner, Damon Reigner, Emmarie Peszko, and Camren Peszko; and by her brother, George Baumbach.

Clara worked over 20 years for the Department of Defense, retiring in 1992 in Orange Park, FL. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, FL and enjoyed playing music for the Precious Lambs Preschool. After moving to North Carolina, she attended Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cary, NC.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mark Drengler of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Cary, will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Mitchell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
